La lista de nominados a los Premios Oscar 2021 ha llegado. Luego de un año de lo más extraño en el que las plataformas brillaron, las salas se vaciaron y las producciones disminuyeron, finalmente conocemos qué películas lideran las nominaciones. Con una clara tendencia a destacar cintas de contenido feminista y social, la Academia logró cumplir con la agenda de la corrección política pero nominando a grandes films. La ceremonia tendrá lugar el domingo 25 de abril.
Netflix está presente en la categoría “Mejor película” con dos potentes títulos: Mank y The Trial of Chicago 7. Esta categoría también incluye dos films dirigidos por mujeres (Nomadland y Promising Young Woman) e incluso ganó su lugar Minari, una película hablada en coreano -recordando que Parasite fue la última gran sensación en la premiación-. Esta categoría presenta una lista de películas diversas y muestran un gran abanico de géneros y propuestas cinematográficas.
Entre todas las categorías, Mank y Nomadland son de las películas que más nominaciones han recibido. Es para destacar la presencia de Another Round entre las cintas más prometedoras de la categoría “Mejor película extranjera” que también ganó su lugar en la terna “Mejor dirección” -Thomas Vinterberg-. Además, y como era de esperarse, las dos propuestas de Pixar, Onward y Soul, están compitiendo en la categoría “Mejor película animada”. Conocé la lista completa a continuación:
