Siguen apareciendo los archivos de Bob Dylan: el próximo 4 de noviembre, saldrá a la venta la edición completa de las míticas sesiones de The Basement Tapes, un disco doble con una selección de treinta y ocho canciones.
Tras el accidente de moto que sufrió en 1966, Bob Dylan se reunió con The Band (Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson y Levon Helm) en Big Pink, West Saugerties, en los alrededores de Woodstock, en Nueva York, donde grabaron decenas de canciones. Algunas de ellas comenzaron a aparecer en ediciones piratas en 1969, mientras que la primera edición oficial llegó en junio de 1975 como un doble vinilo.
The Basement Tapes Complete reúne todas estas grabaciones que pudieron ser recuperadas de las cintas originales, incluyendo temas recientemente descubiertos, y que fueron grabadas en la “habitación roja” de la casa de Dylan en Nueva York. Garth Hudson trabajó estrechamente con el archivista y productor Jan Haust para que las cintas deterioradas recuperaran su sonido limpio y claro, conservando mucho de este material en formato digital por primera vez.
