Todas las películas recomendadas por Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino nunca se ha mostrado dubitativo a la hora de hablar sobre gustos. En diversas oportunidades, el célebre director, escritor y productor ha manifestado cuál es su parecer con respecto a diversos temas: los Beatles, Elvis, directores favoritos, actores y largometrajes, desde películas australianas hasta del género de kung fu.

No caben dudas de que el nacido en Knoxville, Tennessee, es un excelentísimo director y un gran opinólogo, pero más que todo es un cinéfilo empedernido que gusta de recomendar aquellas cintas que él considera excelentes. En el pasado Quentin ha instado a la gente a darle una oportunidad a la obra de Sergio Leone, una de sus mayores influencias y cuya obra comparó con una escuela de cine en sí misma.

“Realmente ilustró cómo tener un impacto como cineasta”, escribió sobre su colega italiano, según recuerda Far Out Magazine. “Cómo dar una firma a tu trabajo. Me encontré completamente fascinado, pensando: ‘Así es como se hace’. Terminó creando una estética en mi mente. Por mi dinero, creo que es el mejor de todos los filmmakers de su país”, agregó.

Tarantino también ha elogiado el arte del francés Jean-Luc Godard, “uno de los que me enseñó la diversión, la libertad y la alegría de romper las reglas… y simplemente joder con todo el medio. Ese es un aspecto de Godard que encontré muy liberador: películas que comentan sobre sí mismas, cintas e historia del cine. Para mí, Godard hizo con los films lo que Bob Dylan hizo con la música: ambos revolucionaron sus formas”, comentó.
